In general, Chinese Herbal Medicine can be used safely with Western pharmaceuticals. Patients that are on Western Cardiac drugs, diuretics, anti-diabetic drugs, anti-hypertensive medications and blood thinners should be monitored carefully when using herbs that have similar actions.
