Not everyone finds their calling on the first try — and Dr. S is living proof that the best detours lead somewhere wonderful. A proud Levittown, Long Island native, she set out on what was supposed to be a simple gap year and discovered her true purpose along the way. In 2014, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Western University of Health Sciences, then spent years sharpening her skills across various veterinary practices on Long Island.
But conventional medicine only told part of the story. Today, Dr. S blends the precision of Western diagnostics with evidence-based alternative therapies like acupuncture, herbal therapy, and nutritional medicine.

Dr. S blends holistic and conventional medicine to provide the most comprehensive care possible
While the focus is on natural, supportive therapies, Dr. S also utilizes medications and diagnostics when medically necessary – especially in cases of acute illness, infection or flare ups.
Collaboration with your primary care veterinarian is strongly encouraged.
If you have an established primary veterinarian, Dr. S will refer you back to them for conventional treatments (injections, medications, etc), diagnostics, and for further evaluation if any abnormalities are identified during your pet’s exam
Do not have a primary veterinarian but still seeking holistic/integrative veterinary care?
While Dr. S practice is focused on integrative and holistic care rather than comprehensive primary care, pets without an established primary veterinarian are still welcome. In these cases, she can provide select treatments and medications during visits and will coordinate referrals to trusted partner hospitals for primary care, diagnostics and additional care to ensure your pet receives well-rounded support.
